Regency Petroleum Limited (RPL) today began trading at $1 on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE). JSE Managing Director Marlene Street Forrest says $1.89 billion has been raised based on market capitalization from six initial public offers (IPOs) since the start of the year.
RPL is the 47th company on the Junior Market, and the 101st company or 151st security on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
This year, 2022, has seen more companies listed than in 2020 and 2021.
This signals that the market is now experiencing an uptick. The index is up 13.98 percent year to date.
