Business Development Officer
(Attractive Base Salary + Commissionable Sales)
Overview:
The Business Development Officer is responsible for servicing all accounts within the assigned territory to maximize profitability, distribution, and volume sales. The role involves making customers aware of the products distributed by the Company and consistently generating sales with the highest form of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new leads through various channels, including cold calls, email outreach, networking, and referrals
- Research and stay updated on industry trends and developments to identify potential clients
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally
- Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed sales target
- Increase market share of assigned territory through developing new business opportunities and maximizing sales potential of existing customers
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of our products and services offered
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities – prepare weekly sales reports
Qualifications:
- Proven record in sales, preferably in a related industry
- Strong client relationship building and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and negotiation skills
